Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
SnapMerge is a macOS application designed to merge screenshots locally on your device. Your privacy is important to us, and SnapMerge is built with a privacy-first approach.
Data Collection
SnapMerge does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. All image processing happens entirely on your Mac.
- No user accounts
- No analytics or tracking
- No image uploads
- No background data collection
File Access
SnapMerge only accesses folders you explicitly choose (such as your Screenshots or AirDrop folders). This access is used solely to detect and merge images during an active session.
Folder permissions are managed by macOS and can be revoked at any time via system settings.
Network Access
SnapMerge may access the internet solely to check for application updates. No personal information or image data is transmitted during this process.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how our website is used (for example, download counts). Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personal data. SnapMerge does not include any in-app analytics, advertising, or tracking.
